For Kat’íx̱dí (Raven- age 9) and Kax̱ du.óo (Mayzie, age 6), the past year has been full of learning and growing on Lingít Aaní.

Trying out some skateboards after fixing them up. "I felt free riding down hills."

The girls are paddling the yaakw (dugout canoe) home after a seal hunt. Kax̱ du.óo sings "Row, row, row your boat" in Lingít. Kat’íx̱dí "I love seal hunting with my dad. I want to travel the world in a yaakw someday."

Kat’íx̱dí is cleaning the seal hide. "It was a lot of work but I love the seal meat and fat." Kax̱ du.óo is collecting salmon roe. "My Dad taught me how to clean fish that day."

What does the future hold? Kat’íx̱dí says "I can’t wait to see my friends in person," and Kax̱ du.óo "I can’t wait to get a pet!" Thank you for sharing a glimpse of your action packed lives girls. I'm so happy I got to meet you both. You're awesome! Gunalchéesh
