Juniper
Foraging for mushrooms.
Juniper and her dog Sushi took me foraging for mushrooms (with her Dad, who knows what is safe to eat).
One good thing about all of the rain we’re having- It’s a great mushroom year. Also, in case you didn’t know, you can mark where you find mushrooms on your phone with a red dot, and Juniper says there are plenty of phone replacements around, if you need one.
“These are yellowfoot mushrooms. I also like to forage flowers, spruce tips, peppermint, sea asparagus, salmonberries, blueberries, watermelon berries and thimbleberries.”
Juniper is showing me how to avoid the mud, when she suddenly slips into a super deep puddle….
“If you have one really muddy foot like me, just get jumping and shake it off!”
